Welcome Pickups

Welcome Pickups is a pre-booked private transfer service, originally founded in Greece, that arranges airport and port pickups with professional local drivers at a fixed price agreed in advance. It covers a large number of cities, mainly across Europe, plus destinations in Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and some US cities. Beyond airport runs, it offers transfers between cities and to cruise ports. Airbnb now offers airport pickups supplied by Welcome Pickups to guests in more than 125 cities, booked directly in the Airbnb app. The service suits travellers who want a known price and a driver waiting at arrivals rather than queuing for a taxi. Pricing is usually higher than public transport or shared shuttles, and availability varies by city. Check vehicle size, luggage allowance, included waiting time and cancellation terms when booking.

Service Types: Pre-booked airport and port transfers, in-city rides, sightseeing rides with a local driver; partner programmes for hotels, rentals and agencies
Network & Coverage: Hundreds of destination cities worldwide listed on the site, e.g. Athens, Lisbon, Paris
Vehicle Range: Sedan, minivan and minibus (per waiting-charge schedule); child seats on request for an extra charge by destination
Booking Channels: Website and Welcome Pickups traveller app (iOS, Android) with driver chat and live driver location
Cancellation Policy: Refund if cancelled 24h or more before pickup; no refund for later cancellations; flight cancellation may qualify for coupon or refund via support
Waiting Time: Free wait: 60 min at airports, 30 min at ports/stations, 20 min elsewhere; flight and ferry delays tracked; extra wait EUR6-12 per 15 min by vehicle
