Airport parking costs can catch travellers off guard, and prices often shift the closer you get to your departure date. Rather than booking directly with the airport, comparison and specialist parking websites open up more choice — including park-and-ride, meet-and-greet and on-site parking.
Three names UK travellers commonly encounter are Holiday Extras, Looking4Parking and APH. The right pick depends on what matters most: price, choice, flexibility or convenience. There's no single winner — results vary by airport, dates and requirements.

1. Holiday Extras
Holiday Extras covers more than parking — it also arranges airport hotels, lounges, transfers and Fast Track. Its comparison service spans major UK airports including Gatwick, Heathrow, Manchester, Stansted, Luton, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Bristol.
Its key edge is flexibility: eligible bookings use the Flextras system, allowing amendments or cancellations (terms vary by operator). It also offers a Never Beaten on Price guarantee — if you find an identical product cheaper within 24 hours, you may claim the difference.
Best for: flexible bookings, parking bundled with other extras, and a price guarantee on qualifying products.
2. Looking4Parking
Looking4Parking is comparison-first, offering access to more than 1,200 car parks across over 200 airports, so travellers can weigh multiple providers rather than one operator.
Options include Meet & Greet, Park & Ride, on-site, long-stay and short-stay parking. Meet & greet trades price for convenience by handing your car over near the terminal; park-and-ride is typically cheaper but adds a shuttle transfer.
Best for: travellers who want maximum choice and are comfortable comparing different third-party providers — just check individual reviews and terms carefully.
3. APH
APH (Airport Parking & Hotels) operates its own parking rather than acting as a pure comparison platform, and has done so since 1980, per Which?. In its 2026 survey, Which? found APH's park-and-ride services at Gatwick and Manchester scored 80% for customer satisfaction.
Best for: travellers who prefer booking directly with one established, independently assessed operator.
Which Is Cheapest?
There's no fixed answer — prices shift with airport, dates, length of stay, parking type, demand and booking date. Which? research also shows off-site providers often beat official airport car parks on value. Always compare live prices for your specific trip rather than assuming one site is universally cheapest.
Which Offers the Most Choice?
Looking4Parking's network (1,200+ car parks, 200+ airports) gives it the edge for sheer options. Holiday Extras offers a solid range plus travel extras; APH focuses on its own services.
Best for Flexible Bookings?
Holiday Extras' Flextras system leads here — qualifying Free Cancellation/Fully Flexible bookings can usually be cancelled for a voucher or refund, depending on timing. Saver and non-flexible products carry more restrictions. Looking4Parking and APH also have their own booking-specific terms, so compare conditions rather than assuming cheaper means less flexible.
Meet & Greet vs Park & Ride
Meet & greet saves time — you hand your car over near the terminal instead of parking remotely and taking a shuttle, which helps with kids or heavy luggage. Park & ride is generally cheaper but involves a shuttle transfer. All three providers offer both, depending on airport.
Don't Choose on Price Alone
Before booking, check:
- Distance from the terminal — cheaper lots may mean longer transfers
- Transfer frequency — shuttle timing around your flights
- Cancellation policy — worth paying more for if plans might change
- Reviews — recent feedback on handling and wait times
- Security measures at the specific car park
- Opening hours matching your flight times
- Extra charges not included in the headline price
How to Find the Best Deal
- Enter your airport and dates with an approximate arrival time
- Compare parking types — on-site, park-and-ride, meet-and-greet
- Compare final price, not just the advertised starting rate
- Check cancellation terms
- Read provider details — transfers, location, security, reviews
- Choose on overall value, not price alone
Our Verdict
Choose Holiday Extras for flexibility, extras and a price guarantee. Choose Looking4Parking for the widest comparison. Choose APH for a direct, established operator with independently verified service.
There's no universal winner — compare all three for your specific dates and always confirm final pricing and cancellation terms before booking.
Travel Disclaimer: Airport parking prices, availability, and terms can change. Always verify details for your specific airport and provider before booking.
